Risto Makkonen utilizes climate models to study the past, present and future climate. Risto coordinates Finnish contributions to CMIP6 experiments, which are used in next IPCC assessment report. Sanna-Liisa Sihto-Nissilä has a doctor degree in atmospheric sciences and currently teaches climate change at Aalto University. She has been involved in developing the university level climate change teaching in Finland in Climate.now project and in now ongoing Climate University project. Marianne Santala works as a research assistant at the University of Helsinki Institute for Atmospheric and Earth System Research (INAR), and completes her master's degree in meteorology. She coordinates Hiilipuu.fi website development and is responsible for the technical implementation of KysyIlmastosta.fi.

Laura Riuttanen is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki Institute for Atmospheric and Earth System Research (INAR), where she coordinates national climate change education by universities in a project called Climate University. She has also coordinated online courses Climate.now and Leadership for sustainable change. Laura is a meteorologist and in her PhD she studied air pollution effects on climate.

Heikki Tuomenvirta applies climate research for eg. natural resources and transport. He is interested in climate change adaptation, as well as weather and climate risks for society. Heikki is the secretary of national IPCC work group in Finland.
